Free Verse Poem
The tropical banks of the Amazon river turn the most beautiful shade at sunset. During the day, its a luscious green and a leafy configuration of plant and animal life.
But at sunset, the sky bathes the leaves in crimson red, and the animals seem to watch and wait.
Its a sight that silences the world.
And then, ask quickly as it happened, the forest returns to its dark green shroud once again.
But at sunset, the sky bathes the leaves in crimson red, and the animals seem to watch and wait.
Its a sight that silences the world.
And then, ask quickly as it happened, the forest returns to its dark green shroud once again.
Hello! I love the imagery of the Amazons that you depict in your poem. My favorite line is “the sky bathes the leaves in crimson red.” I wouldn’t have thought of that.
