the famine in Somalia was a terrible thing that was happening. The fighting in Mogadishu shot food prices up and Somali fighters stole food sent to relieve those who couldn't pay for food. What stood out to me was that during this time, Howard Wasdin would have been assigned to help relieve those fighting in Somalia. By relieve, I mean killing as many rebel fighters as he could. He really hated those evil people who would steal and hijack for themselves. He also almost lost his leg in Mogadishu, after having it nearly blown off during what would be known as ¨Black Hawk Down.¨

The people who had to suffer in Somalia will always be remembered, and i always try to remember those who gave or nearly gave everything to protect the innocent civilians. I hate how the media portrays soldiers as killers and savages, because the soldiers are fighting to kill the real savages and killers.
