Music to our ears

Bleecker Street is my favorite song. Simon and Garfunkel wrote it, which are my two favorite writers. Paul Simon is one of the greatest songwriters of all time. He became popular for his music when he was 17 and continued to make music throughout his entire life The song means a lot to me, its very pretty and it paints a country side town in vivid detail. The way he cose to play the guitar during this song is also very unique, using travis picking as a way to make basic chords sound complex. He also uses the capo in a very pretty spot on the guitar. When I sing the song, it makes me feel like ive created this beautiful town, and when I play, it feels so natural and the melody is something I could listen to for froever

FOOD for thought

I dont really want to write a food inspired piece, so im going to write about a good memory I like to think back to every once in a while. I dont remember when she said it, or when we had felt the same toward each other, but my favorite memory ive ever had was being in love. Within that small section of my life, my most favorite memory of being in love was going to silver dollar city with her. I remember the air was warm, and everything smelled so sweet. Popcorn, meat cooking, pizzas. It all smelled so much better with her around. She always made everything seem so much sweeter. I remember walking into a big auditorium with her to listen to some panel going on, I dont really remember what it was about, we talked and giggled through the whole thing. She would purposefully poke me, or flip me with a rubber band and laugh. I would take her phone or poke her ribs till she started laughing. The best part of the whole thing, though, was when she had asked for her sweater. I had carried ...

This picture makes me think of people, nothing in particular, just in general. Makes me wonder how many people have walked up and down the street, or how many memories people have made in that spot. People are fascinating to me, no two people are the same. What one person finds to be ¨good¨ someone else could find to be ¨bad.¨ I feel like sometimes im the only one who recognizes that everything is based on perception, as a person can only live through their own experience their thoughts are linear to their own. No matter how many times someone will try and convince you, you truly cannot understand something in the way they understand it. Its so unique, and its very special to me. I love hearing about other peoples lives, but ill never truly understand any of it, and to me, that is special.

2000s pictures

the famine in Somalia was a terrible thing that was happening. The fighting in Mogadishu shot food prices up and Somali fighters stole food sent to relieve those who couldn't pay for food. What stood out to me was that during this time, Howard Wasdin would have been assigned to help relieve those fighting in Somalia. By relieve, I mean killing as many rebel fighters as he could. He really hated those evil people who would steal and hijack for themselves. He also almost lost his leg in Mogadishu, after having it nearly blown off during what would be known as ¨Black Hawk Down.¨ The people who had to suffer in Somalia will always be remembered, and i always try to remember those who gave or nearly gave everything to protect the innocent civilians. I hate how the media portrays soldiers as killers and savages, because the soldiers are fighting to kill the real savages and killers.
