I get on this bus to commute to work every day. Its not so bad. There is much opportunity for learning, and passengers and people tell us stories. However, there is only opportunity for learning, if you're looking for it. Maybe to the common mind, the old lady accrossed the isle might just be another face on the bus. But, to an insightful mind,  that lady has many beautiful stories. Shes been alive for decades, and has seen things that have been long forgotten by others.     A father and a child ride the bus together. The father watches the child carefully, makes sure he stays out of trouble, and nothing harms him. Hell even go as far as to entertain him. This story tells us how much the father loves his child. He will go above and beyond for his child

In Response To Angelou

In response to Angelou Words will always have power, and not talking about which words have power can actually make them worse. I agree that talking about them all the time and making it who we are is wrong, I believe that words have more power than we want to give them credit. Im sure we can recall the endless list of insults that we've all been called. So give them power or not, when the damage is done, you'll remember it forever

If I Were In Charge Of The World

Image
If I were in charge of the world, Id cancel all the people who make me hurt others and also people who revolve around negativity If I were in charge of the world there'd be a dog for everyone and Id accomplish all my dreams If I were in charge of the world, you wouldn't have sadness. you wouldn't have hatefulness. you wouldn't have worry. Or "you have responsibilities." you wouldn't even have a job. If I were in charge of the world a zebra cake would be a vegetable. All people would be happy and a person who sometimes forget that they're important and sometimes forgot to think of others would allowed to be in charge of the world.

Color Collage Poem

The beautiful lake outside our cabin, The smooth stones that lay beside it. They're all Marine Park, my most favorite color. The blue doors of the barn, The blue of a comfortable shirt I wear around the house. They're all the color that I love.

A Dream of Freedom

Image
I see a dream of freedom. I see a little boy whose going to bed without a meal, a house made of planks, on a dark and dusty road somewhere in a city of shacks, in a place ruled by oppression and tyranny, and I see a dream of freedom. Hes full and happy, his house isn't made of planks, the roads have children playing in them somewhere in a place ruled by the people. I see a dream of ignorance. I see a little girl whose going to bed with three square meals, a house made of brick, in a neighborhood where there are no trash fires, in a place ruled by the people. Shes angry and upset, shes being oppressed and ruled over by teachers and parents. She wants to abolish the constitution, and destroy the dream of freedom. The people who hate this country haven't been outside this country. Do they not understand why people are willing to jump, climb, swim and crawl into this country? I do not hate them for hating the country, it is their constitutional right to burn the flag. I resp...

I Know Why

I Know why life is precious Many people take it for granted. Contrast is not an easy concept to embrace. But for those who embrace it, they're free from despair. Seek negativity, you will only find negativity. seek positivity, you will only find positivity. Too much negativity leads to despair. Too much positivity leads to ignorance. The contrast between light and dark leaves a fine line between the two. If you walk this line, it is difficult to maintain perfect balance. To find balance, embrace the fact you will sometimes find yourself in the dark, and other times in the light. Is the beauty of life not the concept of contrast? To have light, you need the dark. To have dark, you need the light. To walk the line, is to understand. This is why life is precious.

Dream Post

I always daydream about completing a goal. More specifically, the goal of becoming a SEAL. It's become one of the things I only think about. There's always a few moments that I think about, but there is one moment that is more powerful than the others. I can see myself far away. The distant shouting of instructors is the only thing that can be heard faintly over the sound of the crashing waves and seagulls. It would be the last day of hell week, but nobody would know it. I'm carrying a log on my shoulders, instructors harassing me and the class of 10 that was born from the class of 100. I'm much closer now, as I cross the last dune. They make me stop. I look exhausted, my eyes drooping, hands bloody, face caked in mud and sand. The log is drooping off my shoulders, and my knees are starting to buckle. A lone instructor walks over to me and bends down next to my ear. “If that you drop that log, you will not be a SEAL. Look at you, you're miserable, by far the sm...
Grace I like the comparison of the color white to a medical ward/hospital, i wouldn't have thought of that! I used to love watching super hero cartoons, reading about you watching them brought back a few memories Wow, that was a twist, i was not expecting that to happen just from touching the shells!                                                                           Amethyst I like the line about the fire pushing away the cold night, I can see myself sitting at a fire and looking out into a dark chilly night. Very good! I like the...

Free Verse Poem

The tropical banks of the Amazon river turn the most beautiful shade at sunset. During the day, its a luscious green and a leafy configuration of plant and animal life. But at sunset, the sky bathes the leaves in crimson red, and the animals seem to watch and wait. Its a sight that silences the world. And then, ask quickly as it happened, the forest returns to its dark green shroud once again.

Accrostic Poem

Validation through bragging is cheap. Everyone knows its earned, or at least they should know. Losing is learning, acceptance is victory. Victory is relative, satisfactory should be temporary. Its satisfactory that is the disease that breeds pride. To truly live in satisfactory is prideful in itself, and in residing in satisfactory, you've lost. Because we seek complacency, we find arrogance. Arrogance is weak, it is a foundation of sand. Retribution is cure for the disease. Examine your defeats, and examine your victories. The defeat learned is a victory earned, and that is a true victory.
